A weather forecast of grey skies doesn't necessarily mean your complexion has to come out in sympathy. Essential oils of elemi, saro, lemon and carrot are key ingredients in an action plan to maintain that rosy glow and help your body ward off a dull winter complexion.
A healthy glow is a sign of a good cleansing routine: remove your make-up thoroughly in the evening and, a step that is often overlooked, exfoliate your skin once or twice a week in the morning. To remove dead skin cells and boost radiance, treat yourself to a little massage. A healthy glow from your plate

A lighter complexion
Finally, as extra protection against a dull complexion, take two drops of essential oil of carrot in a teaspoon of honey at breakfast time. Carrot’s extraordinary detoxifying properties are very useful for eliminating toxins and strengthening your defence system. Repeat for a maximum of 10 to 15 days. Never take ingestible essential oils for any longer than this to avoid fatiguing your body.
